Terms & Conditions
Welcome to 24 HR Demo. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and the services provided by 24 HR Demo. By using our website, requesting a quote, or engaging our demolition services, you agree to these terms and any project-specific terms included in your service agreement or estimate.
1. Our Services
24 HR Demo provides residential and commercial demolition and removal services, including interior demolition, exterior demolition, full home demolition, garage and shed removal, kitchen and bathroom demolition, carpet and tile removal, drywall removal, commercial demolition, selective demolition, concrete cutting and breaking, debris disposal, emergency demolition, and post-demolition cleanup.
The exact services provided will depend on the scope of your project and will be confirmed in your estimate, quotation, or written service agreement.
2. Quotes and Project Estimates
Project pricing is based on the information available to us when the estimate is prepared. Factors such as site conditions, accessibility, materials, project scope, disposal requirements, and unforeseen conditions may affect the final cost.
Any additional work or material removal outside the agreed scope may require additional charges. Where reasonably possible, we will communicate changes to the project scope and pricing before proceeding.
A quote or estimate does not constitute acceptance of work until the project has been confirmed by both parties.
3. Project Scope
The agreed scope of work will be based on the written estimate, quotation, or service agreement provided to the customer.
Customers are responsible for communicating any specific requirements, restrictions, access issues, or areas that must remain undisturbed before work begins.
Changes requested after work has started may affect the project schedule and cost.
4. Site Access and Preparation
The customer is responsible for providing reasonable and safe access to the property unless otherwise agreed.
Before demolition begins, customers should remove personal belongings, valuables, and items that are not included in the demolition scope.
Where applicable, the customer must provide access to necessary areas of the property and disclose known site conditions that could affect the work.
5. Permits and Approvals
Depending on the project and location, demolition work may require permits, inspections, utility coordination, or other approvals.
The responsibility for obtaining required permits or approvals will be identified in the project agreement. Customers must not instruct 24 HR Demo to begin work that requires authorization when the required authorization has not been obtained.
24 HR Demo may delay or refuse to begin work where required permits, approvals, or safe working conditions are not in place.
6. Hazardous Materials and Unforeseen Conditions
Demolition projects can involve materials or conditions that are not visible before work begins.
If hazardous materials, concealed structural issues, unexpected utilities, asbestos-containing materials, mould, or other unsafe conditions are discovered, work may need to stop or the project scope may need to change.
Additional assessment, specialized contractors, testing, removal, or disposal may be required before demolition can continue.
Any additional work or costs arising from unforeseen conditions will be discussed with the customer where reasonably possible.
7. Safety
Safety is a priority throughout every demolition project. 24 HR Demo may take reasonable steps to secure work areas, control access, protect surrounding areas, and manage demolition activities appropriately.
Customers, occupants, visitors, and other contractors must follow reasonable site-safety instructions and stay away from active demolition areas.
We may suspend work if site conditions become unsafe or if continuing the work could create an unreasonable risk to people or property.
8. Utilities and Services
Customers must disclose known information regarding electrical, gas, water, sewer, telecommunications, and other utility services affecting the project.
Where utility disconnection or coordination is required, responsibility for arranging the applicable service may be assigned in the project agreement.
24 HR Demo is not responsible for delays caused by unavailable, inaccurate, or undisclosed utility information.
9. Debris Removal and Disposal
Where included in the agreed scope, 24 HR Demo may remove demolition debris and unwanted materials from the worksite.
Disposal methods and costs may vary depending on the type, quantity, weight, and classification of materials.
Materials requiring specialized handling or disposal may be subject to additional requirements and charges.
10. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are expected to:
- Provide accurate project information.
- Provide reasonable site access.
- Identify areas or items that must remain.
- Remove personal belongings before demolition begins.
- Disclose known hazards or unusual site conditions.
- Obtain permits or approvals where the agreement assigns this responsibility to the customer.
- Make payments according to the agreed payment schedule.
- Ensure occupants and unauthorized individuals stay away from active work areas.
Failure to meet these responsibilities may affect project scheduling, pricing, or completion.
11. Scheduling and Delays
Project schedules are estimates and may be affected by weather, site conditions, permits, inspections, material handling, access limitations, utility issues, safety concerns, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant scheduling changes and keep projects moving efficiently.
12. Payments
Payment terms, deposits, progress payments, applicable taxes, and any other project charges will be identified in the applicable estimate or service agreement.
Customers are responsible for making payments according to the agreed payment schedule.
Any approved additional work or changes to the original project scope may result in additional charges.
13. Cancellations and Changes
Cancellation and rescheduling terms will be provided in the applicable service agreement or estimate.
Customers should contact 24 HR Demo as soon as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule a project.
Any cancellation charges or refund rights will be subject to the applicable agreement and British Columbia law.
For consumer contracts, applicable statutory cancellation and refund rights will continue to apply where required by law. B.C. legislation includes specific requirements concerning consumer contract information and cancellation rights.
14. Property and Existing Conditions
Demolition inherently involves the removal or alteration of existing structures and materials. While reasonable care will be taken during the work, existing structures may contain concealed conditions that cannot reasonably be identified before demolition.
The customer is responsible for identifying valuable, fragile, personal, or protected items that must not be affected by the work.
